Insulated foundation rafts work well with timberframe, SIPS, ICF, brick or stone walls.
Insulated foundations are made from denser polystyrene foam that:
- is quicker to install than trench foundations and with less soil waste
- provides better insulation and reduces heat loss (up to passive house)
- has residential and commercial applications due to the compressive strength achievable
The raft interconnects to ensure there are no thermal bridges where heat can escape and there is minimal movement before the concrete is poured.
Each raft is designed and pre-cut specifically for your floor plan, so there is no wastage.
Installation is fast, easy and requires no specialist tools.
